I’m still a believer in Larry Fitzgerald despite the poor quarterback play; the Falcons defense isn’t an elite defense; the Falcons are definitely vulnerable in the secondary; some will argue a lot of his targets last week came in garbage time….so what? fantasy points count the same regardless of game situation

I’m expecting a big day for Danny Amendola; the Jets defense isn’t that bad; for most of the game last week against the Seahwaks the Jets D look good, but the wheels fell off the wagon because they were physically exhausted; all that said, the Jets do not have a cornerback that can defend him; Antonio Cromartie is a good cornerback, but he doesn’t have the shiftyness to guard Amendola; he’s more equipped to guard bigger wide outs

Thursday Game Preview: Miami at Buffalo

The lined opened at Miami +1.5 so the early round of money is on Buffalo, which is a bet I would have easily made. Now the line has increased one point gave me pause. How much stock do I put the Dolphins latest performance, which was awful, from how they looked earlier in the season? The last two weeks the Dolphins defense has looked bad, especially the secondary.The Bills run their offense out of the shotgun and love to throw the ball. I think Fitzpatrick exploits the beleaguered pass defense of the Dolphins to a victory.

Most importantly, Fred Jackson is out for the game, which actually gives the Bills a better shot at winning. CJ Spiller will get all the work. Spiller is by far the more talented football player; he’s quicker, faster, better pass catcher; it boggles my mind that he’s not utilized more.

I expect a continued 50/50 split between Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas; a bounce back game for Ryan Tannehill; Brian Hartline to continue to get the lions share of the targets;

Kudos to you if you thought Joe Flacco would have a great game. I thought the game would be closer, but that’s what I get for believing in the Raiders. This is the second game in a row where the Raiders got smashed. I do not believe in Flacco at all because two of his next three games will be against the Steelers.

Sam Bradford did not look as good as his stats would indicate. His good showing was more about the 49ers defense laying a fat egg on the football field. I have a lot of concerns about his arm strength/accuracy and most importantly, his decision making.

Colin Kaepernick has enormous upside as a fantasy quarterback. However, as a real life quarterback, he’s not ready for the gig. There were multiple times he missed receivers and ran the ball instead. There were literally two plays where a wide open Frank Gore was 8 yards in front of him and he still ran the ball. That said, if he starts on Sunday, he’s a top 12 quarterback.

Christian Ponder looked adequate at best. If you take Jarius Wright’s 54 yard pass, he only throws for 167 years. With Adrian Peterson having a MVP caliber year, Ponder should be shredding opposing defenses. He definitely looks to run ball, which will provide a greater likelihood of scoring consistency.

It’s had to judge how Nick Foles or any backup quarterback looked because most of the time backups get maybe 10% of the reps with the first team. Foles made a few bad decisions that could have easily ended up at INTs, in fact, he threw a pick six but was called back due to a penalty. He has a big arm, but his accuracy was way off on more than 40% of his throws.
